A Peek Inside Your Gown Preservation Journey
1 / Your Preservation Consultation
Your appointment begins with a gown inspection and walkthrough of the preservation process. We’ll identify any spots, spills, stains, or fragile areas that may need extra attention. You’ll also be able to customize your preservation box with a monogram on the lapel.
We'll walk you through the process and what sets our method apart from the "big box" companies.
In addition to your gown, you can include items like your veil, sleeves, garter, bouquet wrap, shoes, tie or bow tie, pocket square, invitation suite, or getting-ready robe. Each keepsake is preserved with the proper method to ensure it remains protected alongside your dress.
If repairs or alterations are needed, we’ll note and confirm them before your appointment concludes.
2 / Documentation & Repair Planning
As soon as you leave, we take detailed notes, photos, and videos of your gown and accessories to document their original condition. If repairs or alterations are part of your plan, they are typically completed before cleaning begins.
3 / Expert Cleaning
Your gown is hand-delivered to our trusted dry cleaning partner, where we perform another thorough inspection. Using specialty solvents and gown-safe techniques, they clean and treat your dress to help restore it as close to its original condition as possible.
4 / Museum-Quality Preservation
Once cleaning is complete, we collect your gown, re-inspect it, take more pictures, and begin the preservation process.
Your gown is gently layered with archival tissue, wrapped in muslin, and placed inside a proprietary polypropylene preservation box.
Any keepsakes you included are safely tucked alongside your dress with care instructions and cotton gloves. The custom monogrammed cover is then placed over your box for long-term protection from light, humidity, bugs, and dust.
5 / Pickup & Preservation Reveal
At your pickup appointment, we open the preservation box together so you can see your beautifully restored dress. We’ll walk you through how to store it properly, what to avoid, and how to care for it for years to come.
