Vintage Wedding Gown Restoration
Bringing treasured gowns back to life for future generations.
Every vintage gown tells a story. Whether your gown has spent decades tucked away in an attic, survived years in an aging preservation box, or simply shows the effects of time, our restoration process is designed to give it a second chance.
Through careful evaluation, specialized cleaning, delicate repairs, and preservation techniques, we help address yellowing, age-related discoloration, storage damage, and other signs of aging while honoring the history the gown carries.
Whether your goal is preservation, display, or passing the gown down to a future bride, we would be honored to help protect your family's heirloom for generations to come.
Our Restoration Process
Every vintage gown is unique, and no two restoration projects are exactly alike. That's why every restoration begins with a consultation and in-person evaluation of the gown.
During your consultation, we will carefully assess the gown's current condition, discuss its storage history, and identify any visible staining, discoloration, structural concerns, or areas of deterioration. We will also evaluate important construction details such as closures, buttons, snaps, hooks and eyes, trims, lace, and embellishments to determine what may need repair or replacement.
From there, we'll discuss your goals for the gown. Whether you hope to preserve it as a family heirloom, display it, or potentially wear it again, those goals will help guide our restoration recommendations and treatment plan.
Some vintage gowns require only cleaning, while others may need extensive repairs or reconstruction. In some cases, age-related fabric deterioration, including dry rot or weakened fibers, may affect the gown's ability to be safely worn without significant restoration work. We will discuss any concerns, limitations, and available options during your consultation so you can make an informed decision before moving forward.
Following your evaluation, we will create a customized restoration package tailored specifically to your gown and your long-term goals for its care. Restoration services begin at $325, with final pricing determined by the gown's condition, restoration needs, and desired outcome.
